Whether you need a visa for Turkey depends on where you’re visiting from. If you are visiting from any of the following countries, you do not need to get a Turkish Visa before visiting: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Finland, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Malta, New Zealand, Northern Island, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, The Netherlands, and the U.K.

If you are visiting from Canada, the United Kingdom, or the United States, you will need to get an e-visa for Turkey.
As recently as 2018, visitors could get a sticker visa on arrival in Turkey. This is no longer the case. If you need a visa, you will need to get one before you arrive through the e-Visa system.
If Turkey visa requirements dictate that you need an e-visa, you may be wondering what that entails. An e-Visa is a visa that is stored on the Turkish government’s computer systems. The e-visa is paired with your passport number.

The length of time that you can stay in Turkey on your e-visa varies from citizenship to citizenship. Citizens of the UK, USA, Australia, and New Zealand can stay for three months over a half-year period.
