Day 1Welcome onboard at Bodrum

This lively ancient port city is where your 7-day cruise will begin. Both visitors and locals love the old town for its beautiful restaurants and resorts, gorgeous beaches, cool bars, and clubs that make its nightlife one of Turkey’s most exciting. So if you are hoping for a first day with enough sun, sand, sea, and entertainment, Bodrum will give you just that. Its marina is also one of Bodrum’s most iconic sights, with hundreds of yachts waiting to whisk tourists on an epic blue cruise of the beautiful seas.

There are also a whole lot of exploring possibilities in Bodrum. So when not enjoying the warm sun while slowly sipping your delicious cocktail, you can head out into its ancient streets for a sightseeing adventure. Along the way, enjoy the charming atmosphere created by the gorgeous, old whitewashed houses.

East of the harbor is the majestic 15th century Bodrum Castle built by the Italian, German, English, and French. You can also explore the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the stunning theatre of Halicarnassus, the Maritime Museum, Zeki Muren Arts Museum, and a lot more.

After exploring, welcome aboard the yacht and meet the crew for drinks and briefing on the route and other rules.

Day 2Knidos - Datca

After a delicious breakfast, it is time to lower the sails and float towards the ancient city of Knidos on the western tip of the Datca Peninsula. It used to be a prosperous Dorian port city, but only ruins of its once glorious streets remain.

Today, it is a favorite stop for voyages looking for land exploration on its well-preserved city paths. Historical attractions in ruins include the temple of Aphrodite Euploia, an 8000-seat Hellenistic theatre, and the remnants of a Doric stoa.

However, it’s the scenery that makes Knidos special. All around the site are terraced hillsides planted with lush green olive, almond, and fruit trees. From the idyllic bay where your yacht will drop anchor, the view of the landscape is spectacular.

From Knidos, the yacht will set sail and anchor near the small town of Datca for some lunch and a canoeing session. During your leisure time, swim and relax in the calm waters or explore the harbor and the numerous seaside restaurants.

Day 3Bencik Bay - Selimiye

In the morning, embark on a cruise to Bencik Bay. The gorgeous bay is surrounded by steep hills covered in evergreen forests that make for a breathtaking view. The waters are calm and clear, perfect for a relaxing session of swimming, snorkeling, and water sports. Charming villages shaded by olive groves decorate its gorgeous beach, and the winds here are not strong, making the bay an ideal stop for vessels.

From the bay, prepare for a hike to the beautiful Selimiye village. Pass through a lovely grassed area and pine-enclosed bays on your way to this idyllic little village, where you will stay for the rest of the day. When not relaxing on one of its peaceful little beaches, you can visit one of its family-run restaurants for a delicious local meal.

Day 4Hisaronu- Loryma - Serce Bay

Today’s cruise will bring you a different scenery from the green pine-covered view you’ve grown used to. At Hisaronu, the landscape changes to a rockier coastline. However, the gulf boasts of a crystal-clear sea, with clean, fresh air and magnificent views.

After relaxing and swimming in its fabulous bays, proceed to Loryma for lunch and explore its magnificent fort. In the evening, proceed to Serce Bay. It boasts of a sheltered harbor with the clearest waters, making it an excellent place to swim. Enjoy the breathtaking view and warmth of the setting sun alongside some delicious seafood before calling it a day.

Day 5Ekincik

Enjoy a delicious breakfast in Serce Bay before setting sail for Ekincik, a charming beach with a breathtaking backdrop of lush green pine trees. The harbor boasts of a stunning inlet where visiting yachts tend to drop anchor as they prepare onboard tourists for the highlight of the visit; the ancient city of Kaunos. Before exploring these magical ruins, proceed to the Dalyan Delta for some wildlife watching as you enjoy its long sandy beaches.

From Kaunos, head over to the Sultaniye Kaplicalari mud baths for a therapeutic session before returning to your yacht at Ekincik Bay for dinner.

Day 6Fethiye Gulf

Today, set sail for the stunning Fethiye gulf. Its excellent bays and coves make it a paradise for divers and the ideal location for swimming. Other activities keep you engaged in Fethiye, including hiking, fishing, extreme white-water rafting, and even paragliding. Spend your leisure time visiting the many shops, restaurants, and bars in this seaside paradise.

Day 7Tersane - Gocek

Cruise the island of Tersane, whose shoreline is a treasure cove of ancient ruins. At the bay, you can swim amongst the ruins of ancient churches, tombs, and boathouses. There are a couple of restaurants worth visiting along its charming coast.

Your yacht will then sail for Gocek harbor with a quick swim stop at the magnificent Yassica islands. Gocek is a beautiful town with six stunning marinas, breathtaking scenery, and a beautiful bay. Before nightfall, make sure to explore its white sandy bitches and idyllic streets, as this is the final stop of the blue cruise.

Overnight at Gocek Harbour.

Day 8Disembark at Gocek

After breakfast, the crew will help you disembark. Then, enjoy a private transfer to the airport to catch your next flight or prepare for your next adventure.

FAQs

Will I book my own domestic flights?

We prefer to book domestic air tickets to have better control over connections and embarkation & disembarkation times. However, if you choose to book on your own, please let us know to suggest the best possible options.

Can we arrange land tours before and after the gulet?

Exactly! And that is the best way to enjoy the closeby sites once you are there as Turkey offers numerous experiences to enjoy.

How much does it cost to cruise from Bodrum to Gocek in a week?

Yacht rental fee: Avg. an ok gulet starts from 12,000+ EUR total, including all meals for a couple or a family of four. However, once you select this route and advise the travel dates, we will check the availability of different gulets (ranging up to 180,000 EUR total for a week for the most luxurious options) and send you all the detailed info on these available yachts.

Beverages: while you can bring your favorites, we will send you a shopping list for drinks as well. The crew will do the shopping on your behalf and hand you the supermarket receipt on arrival. The idea is all about the time of cooling it all and getting your cold drinks ready before arrival.

Watersports & Equipment: Flippers, snorkels, fishing tackle, cards, and board games available onboard. Some gulets even come with kayaks, or Ringo, too. However, if you would like to enjoy one of the days with more watersports such as jet-skis, bananas, etc., it is also available at an extra charge.

Tipping: the best judgment is always all yours, and we do recommend %7 to %10 of the total yacht rental fee.

What else we need to know?

Availability: gulets are chartered Saturday – Saturday, and if your travel calendar doesn’t match, we will still plan the best possible options.

Route: the recommended itinerary above is just a sample, and depending on the weather conditions or crowds, the captain will pick different alternatives. Again, once you are on board, you can discuss and ask for other reasonable options for sure.
